Patrick Riley O’Hoolihan

1813 – ?
Founder and First President of the League of Ass Kickers
Patrick Riley O’Hoolihan was born in June of 1813 to Padrick and Mary Ann O’Hoolihan. Being from an extremely poor family, he worked from the age of six as a smelting apprentice. At the age of seventeen O’Hoolihan and his family moved to Kilarney where Patrick procured a job at the Leiscterworks Construction and Demolition Co. as a dynamite “stuffer”.
It is a matter of legend that O’Hoolihan founded the League of Arse Kickers in late October of 1845 after being moved to devote his life to a worthy cause upon the death of a long time friend and co-worker who succumbed to a crippling bout of “Dynamite Lung”.
Not much is known about the death of Patty O’Hoolihan. In 1850 he left his post as President of the League of the Arse Kickers, after expanding it to nearly eighty members, to seek his fortune in the Dark Continent.
His legend lives on.
